Prenatal and Postpartum Offerings
Postpartum Planning Session
During a postpartum planning session, Alyssa will walk you through the pillars of
postpartum healing as seen in traditional cultures throughout the world. These pillars being:
rest, warmth, nutrition, bodywork, and community. We will discuss how you can build a network
of support during this transformational time. Entering the postpartum period with a plan will
provide you with a felt sense of safety, will give your partner and family direct helpful tips, and
will allow you a more peaceful and confident transition into parenthood.
2 hour session - $100
4 hour session - $175 (this option will be split into two 2 hour sessions)
Postpartum Doula Support
As a postpartum doula, Alyssa supports women and families during the transformational
time immediately after a baby arrives. It has been said that when a baby is born, so is a mother;
I will be there to help “mother the mother”. Providing individualized support to help you find your
confidence and guidance so that you are able to tune out the noise of parenting experts and
tune into your innate wisdom of how to mother your child. Creating a peaceful environment so
that you can take the needed time to rest and bond with your new baby. Services that I offer for
postpartum mothers and their families can include some or all of the following:

Meal planning and prep

Light housework (vacuum, dishes, countertops, etc.)

Emotional support

Debriefing from labor and delivery

Warm oil kneading to help with fluid movement in the body

Breathwork and meditation
-
Yoga for the pelvic floor and lymphatic movement (as appropriate in the early postpartum time)

Encouraging new parents to feel confident in caring for their newborn

Herbal recommendations and support (teas, tinctures, steams, etc)
-
Lactation support and recommendations for trusted lactation consultants
-
Helping to facilitate bonding with new the baby and older siblings/other family members

Infant massage techniques

Prenatal Yoga One on One
During a prenatal yoga one on one session we will move through different breathwork,
meditation, and yoga postures. This will allow you to connect with your body and feel more
comfortable and confident throughout your pregnancy. Being a one on one session; we have the
opportunity to individualize the practice to suit your specific needs at the moment. In addition to
the physical practice of yoga, Alyssa will also be available to answer questions and offer
guidance during the exciting (and sometimes overwhelming) transition of pregnancy.
One on one sessions are scheduled for 60 or 90 minutes at an agreed upon time.
