Meet the Team
Becca Wohlwend
Co-Owner & Teacher
Becca started her yoga journey in 2010 as an at home practice. Her initial journey with yoga began very much as a physical practice; she knew nothing about breath work but still loved the way yoga made her body feel. After having babies and a multitude of health issues while combating anxiety and depression, Becca's practice quickly became very focused on the power of our breath (pranayama) along with meditation, and she began to delve deeper into the other limbs of yoga. She believes that a well-balanced practice can be used as a tool in holistic healing. She received her RYT 200 in April of 2019 and is Yoga Alliance certified.

To me, yoga is... unity and connection with our body, mind, breath, and spirit. It's a place of inner stillness that we can use as a tool to access our true selves, both on and off our mat.
My goal when I am teaching is... for my class to feel welcomed, invited, and connected with themselves and one another.

My favorite thing about yoga is... the paradox, irony, and story that lies within our practice; we create heat to find stillness, movement to connect to our breath, and so on. My practice always reveals a direct correlation between my inner and outer worlds.

When I’m not on my mat, you can find me... spending time with my three little girls and my husband, hopefully outdoors, or nose deep in a good book!

Alyssa Welch
Co-Owner & Teacher
Alyssa's journey with yoga started after she had her first son in 2012; being a new mom she needed some time to herself so that she could be a better mom to her little guy. She only practiced at home for a few years and she really enjoyed the quiet time and the workout. Then it continued to evolve and has turned into a passion of hers. She decided to become a yoga teacher as a way to share her passion with others. Alyssa completed her RYT 200 in April 2019. She loves what yoga has done for her and for her perspective on life and she is very excited and honored that she gets to share it with others.

To me, yoga is... a journey that allows me to connect with myself and others on a deeper level. Yoga allows me to focus on the big picture and reconnect with what is most important in life.

My goal when I am teaching is... to make everyone in my class feel welcomed, strong, and capable.

My favorite thing about yoga is... its ability to bring mindfulness to those who practice.

When I’m not on my mat, you can find me... chasing my boys around the front yard with my husband, snuggling my pup, indulging in Mitchell's Ice Cream, and trying to remember to text people back.
Jeanne Hicks
Teacher
Jeanne began practicing yoga in 2013, and loves the benefits of relaxation and stress reduction that yoga offers. Being a life long learner, and needing to know more about this ancient practice, at the age of 60 she decided to enroll in yoga teacher training. In May of 2020 she received her 200RYT from Soul Collective TYY.
To me, yoga is… a way to check in with ourselves. A time to quiet the chatter of the mind and also pay attention to and care for our body.
My goal when teaching is… to provide a welcoming, safe, non judgemental environment. A place to learn about the practice of yoga and experience the practice through movement and breath. It is a practice not a perfection, everyone is welcome.
My favorite thing about yoga is… how this practice can help us find the peace within ourselves.
When I am not on the mat you can find me… in the garden planting, picking or weeding. I enjoying cooking and spending time with friends and family or reading a good book. I have two amazing adult sons that I love with all of my heart and a cute lil dog named Casie.
Mackenzie Osborne
Teacher
Mackenzie’s yoga journey began in 2016 after she ended her college softball career. She was seeking a space to workout post-athletics and immediately fell in love with the non-physical benefits of yoga. Her yoga mat became the place where she was given permission to freely express herself through movement. It was the space where she began to heal from the years she spent as a high-achieving athlete and a tool she used to move through her anxiety and depression. Mackenzie received her B.S. in 2016 in Exercise Science and M.S. in 2018 in Exercise Physiology. Before she began to teach yoga in 2020, she worked as strength and conditioning coach and private pitching instructor.
To me, yoga is… a continual practice of presence. This beautiful practice creates a space for me to be, express and move in a way that aligns with my truth and how I’m feeling in any given moment.
My goal when I’m teaching yoga is… to create a safe space for the class to be guided inwards toward presence and towards their own inner voice.
My favorite thing about yoga is… the community of individuals it can connect you with and the simple yet profound effects it has on my inner wellness.
When I’m not on my mat, you can find me… behind my camera, hanging out in nature with my pup Stella and my wonderful partner or sipping on a cup of something warm (coffee, tea, cacao!).
